I like packing light when I travel so I usually pack basics, like comfy sandals, versatile accessories and very light clothing that can take you from day to night. These culottes for example, if I had to change into something more appropriate for a night out, I would take the same pants, and necklace but match it with heels, a low cut halter top, gold earrings and take the strap off the same purse to make it a clutch.
This was the day I realized, I left my SD card at home. We were already in the island so walking across the bridge to go to a Best Buy or a gadget store would be too much of a hassle. We went around Granville Island looking for a memory card, we eventually found a store that sells them inside the public market. In the States, a good quality 16gb memory card costs about $9. I had to buy mine here for $30 – a 16gb micro SD card with adapter. The stingy Ilocana Chinese in me definitely does not approve.
I will talk about my trip later in another post, I can’t wait to share with all of you the rest of my photos!
Necklace & Top: Zara Culottes: Vintage Crossbody Bag: Proenza Schouler Sandals: Renegade Folk
[jacket & flats: zara, top: nastygal, drop waist ruffle skirt: luna b]
This is the only time I’ve ever worn two pieces of heavily embellished clothing, without looking like I’m an old lady’s Christmas Tree. I got this pair of Valentino Rockstud-esque flats from Zara, on sale for $30, such a score! I like the subtle embellishments and the nude color because it can be girly, edgy or whatever I want it to be.
I’m so sorry for the slew of lackluster posts. More blog posts next week!
It’s easy to get all dressed up and look nice, and try to say the right words and try to do the right things. It’s finding someone you can actually talk to and be silly with, who won’t mind if you eat like a man that takes a lot of work.
The Beatles did have it right, it all comes down to one simple line – “I want to hold your hand”.
I feel like I’m in that awkward stage between feeling like I know what I want and really having no clue of what I’m doing and where I’m going, or maybe what I really want is to go along for the ride. Maybe I do know what I want, which is right now, to stay afloat.
For now I will stay suspended in the surface.
Hope you guys had a great weekend!

Okay so my birthday is coming up in a month, so if any of you guys plan to give me anything please replace my door mat with something cute. Hahahah!!! I know I haven’t been blogging lately and my recent ones have been pretty crappy but that’s because I finally started at my new job! Sharing with you guys my first day outfit. I carry a laptop bag with me so I can get away with a tiny purse to work with just my phone and my little whatnots.
Do you guys remember your outfits on your first day of work?
[military coat: u.s. army, sequin top: forever 21, belt: designerati, shorts: folded and hung, sling bag: topshop, slouchy boots]
First outfit post from LA!! I can’t believe I’m back here, it feels so surreal.
One thing I love about living in California is the weather, it’s never TOO cold. You can still get away with a coat and the tiniest shorts without looking silly. I’ve been looking for an oversized military jacket and I found this at a thriftstore in Ilocos, authentic from the US Army, pretty cool huh?
