Take 2

I’ve worn this outfit countless of times, and even blogged about it 2 years ago. I’m posting it again on my blog because of these awesome photos Greg Hector took of me during a break at work. He likes pit bulls, camping, fruity drinks, Volkswagen’s, anything vintage, anything in black or grey – you should stalk him on instagram: http://instagram.com/based_lavenderr.

I can’t wait to share with you guys photos from my whole trip to Canada last weekend. In the meantime, I hope this outfit post will suffice.

My Lucrezia purse is also making its blog debut. Smartest fashion item I’ve ever bought, the size and the 2 strap-options are perfect for travelling. It fits everything without being too bulky. It’s still small-ish enough to use for night time too, so you don’t need to take different purses with you when you need to pack light. The design and shape is very simple, more classic than the Antigona, kind of like Gucci’s Boston bag, or Louis Vuitton’s SC bag but its great subtle details like the triangular panels and hardware is what makes it more special.

More posts coming soon!

Across the Universe

I like packing light when I travel so I usually pack basics, like comfy sandals, versatile accessories and very light clothing that can take you from day to night. These culottes for example, if I had to change into something more appropriate for a night out, I would take the same pants, and necklace but match it with heels, a low cut halter top, gold earrings and take the strap off the same purse to make it a clutch.

This was the day I realized, I left my SD card at home. We were already in the island so walking across the bridge to go to a Best Buy or a gadget store would be too much of a hassle. We went around Granville Island looking for a memory card, we eventually found a store that sells them inside the public market. In the States, a good quality 16gb memory card costs about $9. I had to buy mine here for $30 – a 16gb micro SD card with adapter. The stingy Ilocana Chinese in me definitely does not approve.DSC_0021 DSC_0025 DSC_0023

I will talk about my trip later in another post, I can’t wait to share with all of you the rest of my photos!

It’s not THAT cold yet in LA, so I can still get away with tiny knits and leather skirts.

definitive breaks

Quick post of what I wore to a product launch today. I got this top from Tobi in white and lavender, and I’ve been wearing it non stop ever since they arrived in the mail! Do you guys have any “feel good” items in your closet?P1090940

My pants from Romwe finally arrived!! I thought these would feel hot because it’s knit, but it’s surprisingly easy breezy. Makes me feel like I’m wearing Missoni. Haha!

When I was still in school, I hated wearing pants. In Ilocos, girls’ day to day outfits consist of jeans, a baby tee, and a pair of slippers. I felt like pants were the uniform for conformists.

Pants eventually grew on me 😉

Check out this adorable layered necklace from Sugar Kissed.

My mom’s inability to keep track of her bags is both a curse and a blessing for me. Check out this Celine backpack I found in her closet!
