I finally did it. My hair is now 50 shades of purple and I love it!!! Since I already bleached my hair, I think I will stay with light shades for now.

For the past week, Los Angeles has been stuck with this unbearable heat. This romper is pppppppeeeeeeerfect for mindless dressing during hot summer days (yes in LA, October is warmer than June or July). The print reminds me of the dresses my mom would make me wear in the 90’s to compensate for my boyish hair cut. Floral prints tend to be stuck for spring and summer only but you can make this work for fall with the right accessories. You can wear this with a pair of grey over the knee socks, boots, and a cable knit cardigan for colder weather and it still wouldn’t look out of place.

I am so obsessed with my necklace and hand chain from Fresh Out of Water LA! You will definitely see more of these accessories on future blog posts. If you love feminine, vintage inspired jewelry check out their site. They have a great collection of well curated hand and body jewelry.

I love printed pants, if you’ve been reading my blog you know I’m a lazy dresser and I like pieces that instantly spice up an outfit. I’m all for statement pieces that don’t need a lot of thinking to pair with. You could wear this with flip flops, a basic tank top with huge earrings and you will still look very put together. What do you guys think?

Vanessa from Crafturday sent me this fun armlet, perfect for the music festivals I have lined up for the summer! Check out her shop for different colors and styles, some even come with ombre details, embellishments and studs.

I forgot to bring my memory card this day but surprisingly the pictures my friend Jason took with his iPhone came out okay.

The secret to creating a true statement necklace, is piling on a few pieces 😉 I don’t really mind mixing metals, and I like the assortment it creates when you mix golds with silvers and gun metal. I’m so obsessed with my buffalo bone necklace from Enlightened Goddess,  I practically wear it everyday, with everything!

Wore this to a friend’s birthday barbecue. I hope it stays this warm for a long time. I hate cold weather and LA weather’s unpredictability. Hope everyone’s having a great Memorial Weekend!

This is my take on Marnie’s slutty waitress outfit! If you don’t know what that is then you need to tune in to Girls on HBO stat. Lena Dunham is just effing brilliant!!P1090806 P1090809

Too hot in LA this weekend, perfect for strolling down Pasadena in the softest shorts ever! Hope you guys had a great weekend! P1090819

Mother’s Day is coming up! Are you eyeing anything yet for your mom? photo image001_zpsbd83ef6d.jpg

I share the same clothes as my mom, and surprisingly she makes it age appropriate for her. So I think the best gift to give your mom is something you can borrow as well so it’s basically hitting two birds with one stone :p

I used to hate wearing pants because 1) they make me look shorter than I already am and 2) they remind me of high school in Ilocos. We weren’t allowed to wear shorts, or short skirts that were considered “vulgar” so everyone just opted for jeans. So it was jeans-sneakers-baby tee all day every day for most girls. This was during Britney Spears’ heyday and those awful bell bottoms she used in all her guest appearances with a teeny tiny top. So growing up, I only thought there was one kind of denim jeans, the ugly Britney Bell Bottoms.

Isn’t it amazing how layering can do so much? Check out the difference a vest can do.

1) With just the corset and a circle skirt and maybe a pair of flats, this outfit is perfect for a sunny day like today. My friend Ishii gave me this painted floral print corset as a late Christmas present, and it’s beyond perfect! Her own design, so you guys better watch out for this girl.

2) Added a white leather vest and it does make a difference don’t you think? P1090467

3) For some reason, if you zip it up it morphs into this MOD, 70’s type of dress and it doesn’t even look like I’m wearing the same thing anymore!P1090463

I hope you guys liked this post today, have a great week everyone!
