Living in the more tropical side of the Philippines, I could not wait to go back to LA while it’s still cold so I could layer it up with some jackets and tights and boots and wear faux fur. Haha!! I’ve always known Los Angeles had the most ideal weather in the country but boy did I take this cold for granted!! I don’t remember it being this cold when I was in highschool, or maybe that’s because I was always in my uniform and that I got here during summer time while it was still hot and I adjusted better with the changing seasons o_0 Now I seriously don’t have enough clothes for this weather! I had to change into a sweater before meeting my friend downtown.

Last Saturday, I went to my goddaughters 2nd birthday party.
I used to looooove the dirty ice cream they had in parties when I was a kid! I didn’t know they still have it in today’s kiddie parties what with all the cotton candy makers and chocolate fountains. This was so good, it had chunks of cheese and cookies.
Si Danda, kumekerengkeng! Doesn’t she look very Mad Men-y?

My Boss took me to check out the Havaianas Pop Up Shop we had at Robinson’s I.N. yesterday.
Admit it, flip flops are a Filipina’s weakness, so why not pin your pairs to make it more original? Visit the Havaianas Pop Up Shop on September 12-18 at the Atrium area of Robinson’s Mall Ilocos Norte, and get complimentary pins for every pair purchased!

I will give these wedges a rest after the 30 days, I promise! Taking pictures for blog posts gets really annoying sometimes. You have to stand there by yourself, do a little pose and what not and people who pass you by think you’re weird, funny or narcissistic for whatever it is you’re doing. Living in the province doesn’t make it any easier either because clothes out of the everyday shorts and havaianas flip flops is already eye catching enough.
This is what I wore to work today. I think my challenge is starting to get a little difficult now that I’m on my 11th day. Especially since there are items of clothing I randomly picked without even thinking about. Good thing this leopard top and these pants are very easy to mix and match!
I look like modern day Pebbles with feathers, bones and leopard print! It took me a looong while to decide on which OS-accessory to buy first but the scapula necklace prevailed. I was so excited when I got it in the mail today! Pictures don’t do this necklace justice. You have to really see it in person to actually appreciate how delicate it looks and how the hand crafting is just unbelievable! My friend Paul Jatayna one of the brains of the OS trio made it extra special for me with an adjustable chain. I am INLOVE!
Oh and don’t forget to check out Maris‘ new line of feathered earrings! This one with turqouise and pink feathers is my new favorite!

Whenever you’re packing for anything or anywhere, it’s important to pack at least one jacket. For my 30 day challenge, I only chose this beige military-ish jacket. I’ts a very neutral kind of brown that looks good with pastels, earth colors or even black. I live somewhere very hot but the weather is usually bipolar this time of year and it gets a little chilly at nights.
