split second

[sunglasses: urban outfitters, borrowed earrings: h&m, top: wagw, bag: topshop, watch: casio, skirt: style staple, boots: tonic]

Slinky long skirts that hug you in the right places don’t always have to look formal or like you’re about to receive a Grammy. I like to pair this sexy, long skirt with a thigh high split, with tank tops and a pair of flats or sneakers to give it a more down to earth sex appeal ^_^

Yes, thigh high splits, for a lazy uneventful day. Doable.

Baguio Eats

[aviators: mango, sweater: topshop – similar here, skirt, boots: tonic]P1080738

Alvin and I have been planning to go to Baguio for the longest time. We were supposed to go with Ivon, and visit our friends Alex and Kathy but Ivon flaked on us last minute to get her hair permed (asdfuhsldkfj!!!!). We also planned to go to La Trinidad to go strawberry picking but that was a bust. Can’t help it if the weather in Baguio makes it such a sleepy place!! Lol.hill station

Our first stop on the gastronomic tour was Hill Station for dinner after we got to Baguio. It’s right next to Mt. Cloud Bookshop and North Haven Spa. I had the bacon wrapped prawns with wasabi infused mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes was really good, it wasn’t at all spicy like I was afraid it would be. Alvin had the Steak and Prawns Peri Peri. The highlight though was the Death by Chocolate Cake, it was so fudgy and not too sweet. It was practically orgasm in my mouth

First day I dragged Alvin to Cafe by The Ruins. I’ve been dreaming of their Champorado with Tinapa and Ensaymada for so long!! This is my family’s favorite restaurant in Baguio. When I was younger we would drive all the way to Baguio just to eat here, then go back to Ilocos the next day. It wasn’t as Ruins-y as before but it still hits home ♥20121220-091732.jpgcafe by the ruins

I went in there dreaming of Champorado and Ensaymada but ended up ordering something like their own version of grilled cheese but with goat cheese and Rizal’s Tsokolate. I thought we had enough time to go back anyway so why the hell not (Err, no we didn’t go back 😦 ). Alvin had Duck Noodle Soup which was soooo gooood!!

Took home delicious Potato Bread and Pan De Sal with us, Herbed Liver Pate and Herb Cheese.20121220-091552.jpg

We also wen’t to Visco’s Restaurant and Cake Shop to grab a bite of their best selling Strawberry Cake and Tiramisu.

Last stop before heading home was PNKY Cafe, Ivon told me about this place. Little did I know, my mom has been communicating with the owner golfpunkgirl via Flickr  all this time.P1080727

Their menu is more of like a scrap book, sharing with their guests photographs from their travels, clippings and handwritten notes. Toto, we’re home ♥

I had Pompei Pesto and Apple of my Pie for dessert. Alvin had Beef a la Seine, sliced beef sauteed with mushrooms, red pepper and STRAWBERRIES served with rice and vegetables. So good!! I liked his order better.

Brought home Ube Jam for my mom and brother.

Everything in the restaurant is for sale, and I mean EVERYTHING.

Can’t wait to come back! What are your favorite restaurants in Baguio?20121220-091620.jpg

what you know

[earrings: asos, studded top, snakeskin pants & cross bangle: romwe, bag: topshop, heels: zara]

I try to stay away from leggings or jeggings because I always end up only wearing them for travelling, so I get excited every time I get my hands on a pair of printed pants that are very comfortable. These snake skin pants are surprisingly very versatile. Perfect for a plain white shirt or colored blazer for the day and a sexy top for a night out.

Lovin’ this bed weather, I can wear knits and pants all day, everyday! This top I got from topshop a year ago for only P500 is still my favorite knit top ever. It’s comfy, sexy yet subtle. Just the perfect top for lazy days like these.

Hope everyone’s having a great long weekend!

shiny, new and cue

1. Preview Aug 2012 issue, 2. Sequin Blazer: Zara, 3. Sequin Bandeau: Topshop, 4. Baroque Crop Top: Asos

I seem to always reach out for the shiniest things in the rack lately >.<

Backlog!! Met up with my friend Zel a couple of weeks ago when we had our conference in Manila.

Steak & Bone Marrow Tacos from Cue is to diiiieeee for!!! I mean seriously! I probably could have taken a better photo but I was already too hungry, I wanted to eat the whole thing! Well, I did eat most of it and scraped the heck out of that bone marrow, needless to say I felt very lightheaded few minutes after cleaning up my plate. HAYBLAD! If you’re ever around Bonifacio High Street, head out to its new wing and try this. I heard their Fresh Fruit Shakes are really good too.

New play things for my beauty kit. In love with my Tokidoki brush collection from Sephora. Thank goodness I waited for them to go on sale!

roll with it

This gloomy weather has been making me so lazy lately! Finally got around some of my backlog. My leopard bustier last post reminded me of some photos I took about a month ago.

[bustier: twins closet, shorts: levis, platforms: polka dot, bag: topshop, earrings: forever 21, ring: wagw, bangle, wrap around bracelet: polka dot]

For days when I cant think of anything to wear, I have to say high waisted cut offs are my life savers! It practically makes everything look better.

[large wayfarers, lipstick: mac diva, white fish tail top: topshop, corset: twins closet, cuff earring: romwe, cluster of bones necklace: os-accessories, bag: louis vuitton, armor ring: gold dot, watch: cartier, platforms: shopreddot]

I took my brothers to Tacos Del Norte for some quesadillas the other day. I wore MAC lipstick in Diva which I bought from Mg Kristine Tecson. It’s a little like my other MAC lipstick, Dubonnet except for the matte finish but I love it! Its like those vampy lipsticks you’ve always imagined sexy, smart and successful women wore all the time. Hahah, Diva makes you smarter ladies!!!

Ear cuff from Romwe

My mom and I helped my sister pick a very very very VERY late Christmas present for my brother Brandon. We got him this really tight, tie dyed shorts from Oxygen. It’s so cute!! I can’t wait to show you guys how he wears it ^_^

I’m going to do a small tutorial on how to make your own wrap around friendship bracelet with hex nuts like the yellow one I’m wearing here on my next post ^_^

Cutest little Phineas and Ferb toys!!! Each match my brother’s different personalities. I’m planning to go back to the toy store for these. The skating P&F for my brother Eugene and the Ferb pimping a truck toy for Brandon.

No one’s ever too old for toys am I right? 🙂
